1983 Hitachi GP-41D handheld color camera
This is a common color video camera, featuring a power zoom, 1.5 inch viewfinder, and a 2/3 inch vidicon tube. The vidicon, is a Tri-electrode type. This type of vidicon, eliminates the color processing circuitry needed for a conventional tube, making for a smaller camera.
It has an extendable microphone on the front, and on the back next to where the cable comes out, is a small mic for narrating. Only high end consumer cameras offered this. Controls for sensitivity, backlight, and white balance are provided, and of course a power on/off switch
